‘Nothing to See here’ exhibition; August 2020

The Corner Gallery, Stanmore

‘Nothing to See Here’ was my first solo exhibition, and though I like to think of myself as a painter, mostly featured works on paper. This collection of works started coming together during a period of ’artist’s block’; when I was feeling uninspired but loathe to lose the skill that can be gained through constant practice. So I started collecting fallen leaves on my walk home from work, and completing these detailed studies as practice. From here I decided to work on a series of drawings of commonplace objects and scenes that you may not normally be tempted to spend time studying.
